I looked through a bunch of the scores on the leaderboard, and concluded the following:

You get 1 point for a 10th place win, 2 for 9th, up to 10 points for a 1st place. Multiple placings in the top ten all count (if you are 1st and 10th in a game, you get 10+1 = 11 points for that game).

Those with a score of zero on the leaderboard must have at some point had a top ten placement, and then got bumped out later.

so for the leaderboard, don't play a game like Snake or Moonlander too many times, where you can die nearly instantly and end up ranked 145

Edit, on second thought, it seems to correspond pretty well to the overall points instead.

I don't really want to try and defend my centipede title from Sever

15 minutes of it and when I shut my eyes, I could just see it going over and over... And it hurt my thumb. Maybe one day when I'm sutably bored or ill... Watch out

It's worse with Lucern taking my Breakout score. I had a game that went 33 mins, his took 1:15. I don't think I want to try staring at Breakout for an hour and a half to reclaim my title.

Speaking of Breakout...it seems that the mousecursor has some sort of hicup every now and then, which is basically the reason why i miss the ball sometimes. No fun playing with a flaw like that.

I kinda felt a little bad when i pipped it, but i needed an extra 1st place to bump me up to king (which it appears i've since lost). Nothing personal

If the cursor only controls the paddle whilst it's within the game frame. PITA, i guess. Had a theory using the "start game in new window" option to see if it makes a difference but haven't got round to it yet.
