Could you please post a link to the MS site that has the download? I've just been there and cant seem to find it by searching for 'buster', 'buster virus', or 'virus buster'. Nor can I find it on the symantec.com site or alltheweb.com using the same search parameters.

I did, however, find THIS, about the **BLASTER** virus...is that what you meant Cristian? Or is BUSTER a variant of BLASTER?

BTW...where did you hear about this? I tend to be skeptical of virus warnings without corroboration from at least one of the major anti-virus sites.

Usually the automatical updater does the trick:

Microsoft official updater

It does analyze your system (supposedly in an anonymous way) and propose updates. Worth to check often, as there are many vulnerabilities and the relative updates which pop up weekly or even more often.

I suspect this is the story directly related to the patch in question.

I heard about it as well via the radio. Tried going to the update sight, but I think their server's been bogged down by the panic of Windows users going for the update.

Nacht, Cristian is right - he just got the name wrong. It is the Blaster virus. Go to the either Symatec or McAffee for free patches. Seems everyone running MS Windows is target except for ME - go figure
