I found it fun for the first ten hours or so. It's like welcoming an old friend, at first, and then there's a feeling something's missing. Can't quite put my finger on it. I think it may be due to the fact that it feels like the AI is cheating. Minor one-province Clans have massive armies that they could not possibly afford and on the long campaign (capture all 60 provinces), it doesn't feel as if there's enough time to do so. However, all that said, it is fun and engaging. Challenging too. The multiplayer's not bad either. The only other thing which is a bit disheartening is that there aren't enough naval engagements, but that's more or less in keeping with the time period.
At least, such is my initial impression.
