I saw a sweet list of available musical instruments, but have not found them all yet of course. Is there somewhere in the game you can buy musical instruments? Or is there a list somewhere of where they can all be found?

So far I've found:

Poet's Lute
Viola D'Amore
Angel's Tongue
Piercing Pipes (use this one a lot)
Snare of Delay
Rousing Drums (use this a lot too)
Mandolin of the Magus (this one too)
Siren's Wail (also very useful)
Frigid Fiddle (starting to like this one)
Silent Lyre
Jericho Horn
Dulcimer of Mending (is this one ever handy!!)

This is all I've found so far. I've only been to Monestary, Arnika Road, Arnika-Trynton Road, Arnika, Trynton, Swamp, Mine Tunnels, Marten's Bluff, Northern Wilderness, Umpani Base Camp and Mt Gigas caves.

Have I missed finding any instruments I should have?

that's a tad more than half of them. spydah's site has this collated list of the bard's instruments, but listed as tho they are spells. when you run the list, make sure you uncheck everything in the "Spellbook" column EXCEPT "bard" and "shared". everything else on the page will stay checked.

his site is really great!

i haven't seen a full listing yet of where you can find everything, only partial lists.

sorry!

Thanks for the link...note that on the left hand side there is a link for items and under that there is a section called instruments, and if you just do the default search it will return all the instruments you can find.

But this doesn't completely spoil the original poster like he/she wanted to be spoiled. It doesn't tell where to find them. Granted I don't want to be spoiled on that...finding the instruments myself is great fun.

But I do need to be spoiled about spellbooks. I really wanted a cheesy way to quickly get up my skills for my slow developing Bishop, like casting knock in front of a safe lock over and over, etc. When I was in Arnika the first time, I didn't feel like I had enough money to buy the knock book. So I went back to the monestary...took a wrong turn into the northern wilderness, then went back to Arnika...and now the book of knocks is gone! a couple new books appeared, but I want to know where there might be another book of knocks. I am gonna head out for Trynton soon, I hope I can find one there. If anyone knows of a spoilerish resource that tells when and where to find certain books, please let me know.

I am quite familiar with that site and since there is so much there i looked through it all again. The spoiler I am looking for is not there. Anyone know of a site that has spoilers for locations of spellbooks. Or could someone tell me where to get a Knock-Knock spell book?

You can buy Knock-Knock spellbooks from Anna in Arnika.

Runiel,

Thanks you for trying to help. The problem I am having is that I saw that book in her inventory and figured I would come back and get it later. But it seems like as you level up (or something) new books for higher level spells replace some of the existing books. Whatever the reason, When I went to the monestary to use the wheel key and came back to Arnika, she no longer has a knock book, only a couple scrolls of knock. Do you know anywhere else to find this book?
