Ok, I don't know about any of you... but when I went through the whole game several times, I had one bug the whole time in the programing (was dire charmed, then dire charmed myself, when mine went away, I stayed enemy indefinately) I have well over 200 hours of gameplay.. I think all these bugs people have trouble with are the actual patches and programs to modify the game, that they are using, causing them.

Yes, unofficial Mods do create problems for the game, because we don't know every variables in the game, so when we create mods, we might also be creating new bugs.
Before I started moding, I had NO bugs at all in my game, now I heavily edited my game, and the game now take lot of time to load new area, is a little slower than it used to be, and sometime crash for no reason. [ 03-29-2002, 01:54 PM: Message edited by: Luvian ]

patches are SUPPOSED to fix things, so are upgrades, but if you'll notice with AOhell, the amount of bugs is geometrically proportional to the version. So as you see this is not always the case, but more often I'm guessing it has something to do with the "editing" these people do to the game

All programs a number of bugs in them represented by: (N+1)
N being the number already found. Also, what some consider to be bugs, aren't. Stuff that seriouly effect game play(that Dire Charm must heve been a real PAIN) need to be fixed with patches. Check out the FAQ at Black Isle. |

I'm afraid I don't get it. I've played without the patches and with 'em, and the patches always solved problems in BG2--they never created any. If you had problems after loading on the patches, it's also probable that the same problems would have existed even if the patches weren't there. I see no justification for belaboring Bioware's patches, which have been very professionally done.
