I just finished Knights of the Old Republic (Great game ). And I found myself wondering about a rather minor detail. You get the opportunity to use mind trick on a Hutt more then once, yet when Luke tries this in Return of the Jedi, Jaba states that Hutts are immune to this. Or am I perhaps mixing things up?

Did you try using it on him? Seeing the option does not mean it will work. There are times I tried it and it failed.

The only time I remember having the mind trick work on a Hutt was when I had the Wookie with me to back me up (he roared in defiance that I should get more money hehe). Force Persuade may have worked in this game once or twice on a Hutt, but overall they are very resistant to persausion and intimidation, so I don't think that part of the game is all that unrealistic compared to the movies.

No, I've actually tried them and they always work.

Yeah, I remember using it on them aswell, but there are many creatures that say that they are resistant to mind control when the actually can be convinced to do things.
