I believe the makers of Wiz 8, pretty much went under due to the lengthy time and cost in the making of Wiz 8. Hence the many unfinished portions of the game and the total lack of support from the official site. You can't even get the patch from the official site. Unless another game developer buys the rights, a sequel is unlikly. If someone does by the rights lets hope its a developer with money like either Blizzard, Firaxas, and Bethesda.

Someone may like to illaberate on SirTechs situation as I do not know the complete story.

It's unlikely there will be another; however with the two new Jagged Alliance games that have come out, one a retail item and the other a great mod. and Jagged Alliance 3 on the way, we may see some support thrown the way of the Sirtech developers, enough to sell the rights of Wizardry to the same company who bought Jagged Alliance and some other Sirtech games. We can only hope!

But unfortunatly a change to an other company often brings changes to the games. And sadly that often don't make them better.

I really hope, that I'm wrong !
