I have a Gamecube, but that's it. And I don't have that many games, either. I'm deprived.
At the moment, I'm playing through Eternal Darkness and GC version of the Ocarina of Time. |

I've heard that the games' developer Silicon Knights is working on the Gamecube remake of Metal Gear Solid. Hopefully it will turn out well. Oh....I have a PS2 and GC.

BTW, I also own Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (By Midway) I really like that Roleplaying game. It's a lot like the Baldurs Gate: DA, but with more moves! You can also find it for $29.99 which is a GREAT buy!

I bought The Matrix this weekend, and oh my frikkin gosh. There is just nothing like taking on a team of swat officers with MP5s in slow motion. Yes, there could be more detailed move executions, and the second analog stick should have been used to free up turning direction from movement as most games (like Halo and MOHF) do, rather than simply using the stick as a scoping button and relegating the all important side-stepping to a "strafe" button. But the intuitive control is amazing and the game is just so much frikkin eye candy. Z, if you aren't there yet, there is simply nothing like taking down vampires in the Merovingian's basement. Staking them in mid-air and everything. Way cool. Or rushing through the freeway chase to be there when Morpheus falls off the 18 Wheeler where he's fighting the agent. Unless you are further than I am, Ziroc, those are not scenes from the 3rd movie we're seeing but rather additional footage shot just for the game. I'm playing through first as Niobe, but I might stop before the end and play as Ghost, just to get both sides of the story to this point. Another Recommendation: I don't know if this game is X-box only (I don't think so), but DESERT STORM is very good. You control a squad of 4 guys -- very nice.
Yeah, I just read about the added scenes.. THAT is cool, it feels like you are in the world, and on a different path. I just finished the Nuke plant (Using Ghost). Damn, that took a long time.. Now, I'm flying through the tunnels with those robot things chasing me. The LONGEST areas were the Sewers and the Nuke plant. UGH! But you're right, that Grand Stairway area was AWESOME! The 3d Modeling was stunning. The suns rays shining in... and those vampire freaks laughing at you and running at ya! A really fun game!

You're ahead of me,Z, I'm still slogging through the plant w/ Niobe. Oh well, what can I say other that WORK SUCKS.
Anywho, I hear the game is different for each character. Have you tried HACKING?? I went into the hacking menu (works like DOS) and opend up all the movies, bios on all characters, info on guns and cars, etc. I am missing one of the movie playback files, so I'm guessing I'll open it up with Ghost. If you didn't play through with NIOBE, I'm guessing you missed the really cool kiss scene between her and PERSEPHONE. |

Ziroc and/or Timber, is the Matrix game you're playing the same one available now for PC or is that another version?
I've already heard the PC version is nice, so I'm toying with the idea of picking up a copy, but you guys make it sound really worth the cash.

Just begin with 11111 or 00000, see how many you got right, and try again using process of elimination. I can't remember whether the B:\ drive itself of the sub-folder (Tools, I think) requires the password, but I'm sure you'll find it. [ 06-18-2003, 12:10 PM: Message edited by: Timber Loftis ] |
