alright, just to add some gossip

you've heard that sentence many times, you loser, whether you used it yourself or you are the victim of it. the interesting thing is, when someone says "get a life" what does that person mean by "life"? does that person pre-assume his standard of "life" as the life that everyone else should get? because it is curious that the following two sides of arguement occured on BGII forum:

"if you need to cheat to play an RPG, you need to get a life"

and

"if you are take cheating on a game so serious, you need to get a life"

both sides have valid argument (or not) so what really is "life" that one should get?

and there are more examples, feel free to add your 2 cents [img]tongue.gif[/img]

i think it's actually a code:
if a=1 b=2 etc... then "get a life" = 7 5 20 1 12 9 6 5
then if a=26 b=25 etc...then you get "tvg z oruv"
if we then rearrange these letters it spells "got vurvs"
(Vurvs being Tuvaluvan for "really bad body odour" of course)
So when you tell someone to "get a life" all you are asking them to do is to take a shower.

the saying "You must have a lot of time on your hands" always pissed me off.. when showing off my Artwork or something.. It's what I enjoy doing, and that comment is just plain RUDE! Anyone else hear that?

yes...the only time I use that is for people who perpetrate hoaxes on the Internet or write viruses..."some people have a LOT of time on their hands!"

Or something I use with my students when they're cutting up: "If you're that bored, I'll FIND you something to do." You've never seen people get busy so fast! LOL
