A little different from the original but pretty fun. I think any game where you are the son of the dude that whooped the devil and his minions, has to be pretty decent. The first one was one of the hardest games I've ever played. this one seems a little easier, but then again I am early in the game so we'll see.

From what I've heard it still doesn't live up to what the sequel ought to be. But then again, it's not easy to top the first one.

I'de heard a bunch of jake stuff about the game too, but in plaaying it I think it is pretty good. I of course aty first expected it to be better than the first which is pretty darned hard. It is easily as good as the first at least, which is all that is fair to expect.

I don't think it's nearly as good as the original. It just turns into a hack-and-slash game. Whereas the first game employed a major degree of skill, all you have to do in DMC2 is riddle them with bullets. Also, I hate how they shafter Dante's differing sword moves. Now, he just has ONE attack combination. Lame! It's also IMPOSSIBLE to get more than a D rank in Style. I mean it. I comboed an entire level, and got a D.

DMC2 is the only game I've ever thought about returning to get some store credit.
