Will a simple protection from undead spell help me get past the Battle Horror that seems to keep killing my party at the entrance to the tower?

Cast dispell magic on them and then wail away! By the way, what is the average level of your party? Most people wait until the majority of their party members are at least 6.

The Battle Horrors are a guage for your party...If you can't make it to te front door then you aren't ready for Durlag's Tower.

Protection from Undead is not a spell, it is a scroll--big difference. There are only a few PfU scrolls in the game, you have to buy them, they can each only be used once, and each one will protect a SINGLE person. So using them to bypass the guards (who, as Baggins accurately says, are the gauge by which you can determine how well your ass is going to be kicked) is rather silly.

Thank you for the replies. I will wait until my levels are a little higher to try the tower.
