We must topple Bush and arrest Henry Kissenger and try him for crimes against humanity, and get rid of America’s weapons of mass destruction!
I think you need to go back to school. You obviously lack a foundation about the war in Vietnam. You also seem unable to comprehend the fact that while the US has occasionally done some worng things, in the end, the world is better off for having the US than for not.

Ok someone here is harping on the fact that there is no proof that Iraq has or ever will have nuclear weapons. Lets see, over the last 10 years the US and other nations have regularly been intercepting components and materials used only in the making of nuclear weapons and for enriching unraium to weapons grade. How much do you need before you get the idea? When I smell a skunk, I do not need to actually SEE the skunk to know it was there, and while I cannot prove that there is a skunk...I'll bet YOUR life that there is one.

There will be a war no matter what happens, I've come to grips with it. There's no reason for me to continue on the subject.

War really does suck, though.
That's ok, Skywalker, you're still my favorite liberal Yankee and I do reserve the right to be wrong.

War does suck!, I've said all along that war is not to be entered into lightly, but when it is entered into it must be done agresively, brutaly, and quickly, so as to make the next guy think long and hard about it.

Forced through? Doesn't anyone else have veto power in the UN?

Why should they need to be forced through? Is there any doubt that Iraq has failed to comply with the terms for ending the Gulf War? Does the passage of time exonerate Saddam's actions. Is the US really wrong for expecting him to comply? Should everyone expect it?
The five permanent members of the U.N. security council have the right to veto any U.N.S.C. resolution, U.S.A., U.K., France, Russia, & China. Something that all members of the U.N. agreed too.

Does anyone on here actually think that any of us want a war just for the "fun" of it? Or that anyone here actually looks forward to war?

Dramnek_Ulk, less then 100 miles from where I live the US goverment has a facility to destroy Chemical weapons, It is opperational, and destroies Chemical weapon stock piles all the time. Last week we had a terrorist scare here in the US (Utah) at another facility that DESTROIES chemical and Bio weapons. We have also cut our stock piles of Nuclear weapons in about half. But we would be fools to get rid of our weapons while others have them.

If the rest of the world wants to effect a regime change here, well get together and start the process, but remember we have an armed population

Hi everyone

As to the whole debate about leaders leading and the rest of us shutting up and letting them get on with it....I understand where you are coming from but if that's the attitude then we might as well just stick with the monarchy: 'Appointed by God and much wiser and having deeper understanding than us peasants'......Everyone on this forum is more intelligent than Bush for a start (I.Q. 91, below the national average and not a lot of education), so why is it so odd for us to have opinions and let our leaders know what we think?

I think that Saddam should be removed so that the Iraqi people can get on with rebuilding their country and their lives, but it still isn't clear to me why now and what the long term aims for the country are. I also would like to see UN inspectors in EVERY country, weapons of mass destruction are produced in large quantities, and you may say that Iraq are the only ones likely to use their's, but Hiroshima still feels the impact of the last usage of such weapons-and don't forget who dropped that.

Just thought I would mention that defecting Iraqi scientists have been claiming Saddam has been trying to make nukes for quite a while and is close to getting what he needs. Its in the news today, but can't find the link to post it here.
