There is a way to jump very high in this game. You can use it in several places to jump up to areas you aren't supposed to be able to jump (one example: In the Crypt, you can use this to go down BOTH the wizard and warrior path. Use it once to get both idols, then use it again to jump out of the small corridor where you find the chests with anks in them, and go back to the second path).

Use your mouse to look straight up. Hold down the run key (I believe Shift is the standard button)and the Forward button (up arrow). Press the jump key. It may take one or two jumps to warm up, but you will actually jump high enough to hurt yourself from the fall! There are countless places where you can use this. I'll leave it to your imagination to find them.
