For anyone and everyone that has known someone working in the computer industry. (Not to mention our good friend Ziroc here!) Read this. Sure, it is over two years old now, but I wonder if the situation there has improved...

Read it a while ago. One of my customers did a stint at a gaming company... I'll ask him about his experience and report back.

In short... assuming it's true, it sucks. I wouldn't stay around for a week.

Yea, theree have been many of these journals from "Real_EA_employee" and so on where they complain constantly, but then there are the ones that can actually prove who they are and say that its not so bad as everyone thinks. All gaming companies are like this, it's just that alot of people don't like EA and only point out their conditions.

The software (not just games) industry is an awful workplace. Good wages, but work progress is sometimes so unpredictable that the situation becomes incredibly stressful. Luckily things are getting better as the industry matures.

My old classmate who develops software for online casinos still puts on weight quickly and drink to forget about his job tho...
