When the lady who you do the quests for told me to meet her back at the place after we were at the tavern, I met her and she said to meet her and that guy in the south-east part of the city. So I met her and she said something about the guys coming and to wait. Then they got dimension doored out or something. Or the Shadow Doored. What do I do now?

look up your journal!
IIRC you'll have to meet Phaere and Solaufein at the platform to the east of the city (near the Temple) and defeat a Beholder.
