I could not even imagine carrying a baby to 40 weeks, it was hard enough with DEW at 38 weeks :/

I was a premature baby, and a zazerian one at that...when I was born I was very blue, and I wasn't breathing, so they had to put me on a respirator...and now because of that, I get asthma

I was one of those 40 weekers. The day before they were going to induce my mother, I came out. From what she told me, I tore her up something fierce on the way out, too (they didn't give her a C-section, she didn't want it...she told me she would have had one looking back).

That was her whole reason for going all-natural. The problem is she had trouble healing, so she ended up taking longer than normal, and was in a good amount of pain (even with the painkillers).

Well Stormy, sounds like you are all set up there!

my brother was a premie. 7 1/2 weeks early and weighed 2 3/4 lbs. my mom said she delivered him on the gurney as they were wheeling her into the delivery room and she didn't even KNOW he'd been born! lucky thing a nurse was watching her like a hawk. my dad said he could put him in the palm of his hand for the first coupla months.
my bro stayed in the hospital for that long.
he's now 6'4" and weighs 235 lbs. and healthy as a horse. never gets colds or had any of the childhood things (measles, etc) or anything.

but he does LOVE to dawdle. i think he thrives on dawdling.

at least he is healthy now I am greatful that my son is growing, he does have asthma, but other than that, he is well..he spent the first 7 monhts of his life in the NICU. the little squirt would scare us to death by pulling out his feeding tubes, and kick off the moniters, he also extubated (remove the resporiator) himself on a regular basis
