... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...
The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible) Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.
(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?! God Bless you all Amen !
This is among the emails I got from my Aunt yesterday (read this morning), I replied correcting her on a few things and generally trying to enlighten her so that I won't have to deal with crap like this again, a few of my points were #1 The koran would never refer to removing allah from an area as "cleansing it" secondly doing a wee bit of research and using less than 5 minutes I was able to pull out 3 translations of chapter 9 verse 11 and sent it to her, and I can assure everyone here that it has absolutely nothing to do with warfare, eagles, or Arabia, the verse instead being about repentence. In fact during a search of the text of the koran and the 3 english translations I checked I encountered no mention of eagles whatsoever... grrr people who refuse to use a little basic thought before forwarding something on tick me off, and chain letters that try to guilt me into blindly forwarding obviously false information tick me off even more... anyway please return to your regularly scheduled debates about what color G.W. Bush has his toenails painted, I for one think hot pink is his color of choice.

They're clearly alternatively red, white, and blue. 'Course, he got his tosies, too, because he's a Big Boy who can do it All By Himself.

Those letters piss me off, too. I've pretty much made it exceedingly clear to the few people in my life who enjoy these things that I do not. The grandfather of someone I work with sends her this kind of stuff all the time... She just reads it aloud and we all shake our heads.

Not to mention this e-mail was debunked as being FALSE shortly after the events of 9/11.

BTW, any forwards to my e-mail will be immediately deleted. Even from Mom (I still don't understand how people don't understand this after you ask them to stop!).

Heh, that fake Quran quote is an oldie. I'm surprised that it can actually survive in this Age of Information considering how easy it is to debunk. It defies all logic.

Heh, and looking at it logically the senders have shot themselves in the foot. If their chain email was accurate then the passages of the Koran really did literally predict the future. This implies a certain amount of divine backing to Islam that the authors would presumably dispute. Methinks someone didn't think it through

They probably don't also think about the fact that it was Osama who attacked us, not Saddam...
