While the rest where up on the roof or in other assorted places, the sorcerer was nowhere to be seen, whether gone on some new errand or teleported away, it was unknown to all but himself, but he wasn't departing for long.

She senses rather than feels the sorcerer's departure, and sighs hoping he returns........turning to Cyril, she whispers softly "how many can you hit with that bow, and how far away?"
She studies him covertly out of the corner of her eye, thinking of how handsome he looks in this light, and suddenly shakes her head, berateing herself quietly. ~what are you doing, you fool? Don't mix him up in your troubles~

KayLisa – he repeats the name to himself, associating it with the changing light of her eyes. “What would it be like to see with eyes that play such games with light?” he wonders to himself for an instant before shifting his attention to the more dangerous concerns of the moment. “How many can I hit – how strange that question seems,” he thinks – when one is alone one strikes as often as he must or he dies. His face hardens slightly as he notes the moving figures in the trees. “No scouts in the trees – they assume surprise is theirs,” he thinks. “Good. They have surrounded the area, but the groups are out of sight of one another. Better. But, the artificial creature .....”

He turns again to KayLisa, “What I can see, I can hit. And I can hit ....” his eyes narrow as he pauses and his voice takes on a quiet grimness. “No,” he gives the only answer he can, “I will hit as many as I need to.”

She reaches back, and pats him on the cheek, smiling softly, and turns back to studying the groups. "That's all I need to know.....If I draw them out, group by group and distract them, can you destroy them?"......she looks back at him quickly, her eyes glowing a bright amber, then looks down at her left hand, and removes the amulet, pulling the glove back on, quickly, hoping he doesn't see all the runes carved over her hand......

OOC: Get to start the weekend early -- life is good.

He is not used to being touched and the brush of her hand across his cheek surprises him with its relaxed ease. His eyes follow the movement of her hand, noting the sudden swiftness with which she replaces her glove. "To protect and conceal," he thinks. He looks at his own gloved hands -- "How familiar." He reaches into his quiver and draws an arrow. "Bring them out."

To the untrained eye, it would seem fire suddenly shot from her eyes, but to the trained eye, her eyes glow with fire from within, and she draws out a platinum amulet ~almost an indentical match to the one around her neck~with a moonstone in the center, and peels off her gloves, and with only a minute glance at Cyril to check that he is ready, she suddenly stands, her cloak billowing behind her, and her silver-blonde hair streaming past her waist, though no wind blows. She raises her hands to the sky, and chants "Anal de thar, Anal de thar, Anal de thar .....BDUCHER!!!!". A strong wind attacks the first group, driving them out of the trees and into the open. She looks over her shoulder, and yells "NOW!", and turning back, starts concentrating on the second group............


The first group of goblins, lead by one iron golem, feel a strong wind suddenly blow into them, scattering them into the open, now knowing that that their surprise atttack is no longer a surprise, they howl angrily, and go to weapon, looking furiously around for the attack they can't see as of yet....."

The other three groups of goblins, hearing the howling and yelling, start looking around nervously, trying to understand what is happening.....the group advancing from the rear huddle together briefly, then start running thru the forest towards the tavern........

Goblins, fortunately are a familiar and predictable enemy. With a practiced eye he notes the seams in the forest -- the places where movement is easiest and the points at which a frightened or charging figure would be most likely to emerge. His arrows will fly to these places.

She summons a wind.

He cannot help smiling -- his first real smile in days. The wind makes this simple. The humanoids are disoriented in the stormy blast. Even the fatigue in his arms will not save them now. He shoots with an ease born of years lived among the sudden storms of the Stone Spires. Their startled cries are the last sounds that leave their throats, and the group of goblins falls without seeing the hands that strike them.
