killing the real malavon

I kill the fake Malavon and his cohorts but I can't seem to kill the real one. He has some globe of invulnerability that I can't get through with spell or steel and then her summons all sorts of folks to kill me. HELP! How do I kill this guy?

Try being patient. Invisable or Sanctuaried characters may be able to wait out the effects of Malavon's entropy shield.

You sure you don't have anything that can punch through? I saved him till almost the last thing I did in that level, and a couple of my weapons were punching through his shield although they weren't at first. Just give it some time. He really not that tough if you keep in his face pounding him.

Malavon hard?
Geez I remember he got the jump on me when I left my spell casters waiting in the room,the real Malavon appears in. But they lived... And fighter...well he isn't stoppable. And Malavon put up poorly against him. Fortunately I had already cleared his little hideout of all monsters. Chaotic Commands is the best spell for that part of the game. Anyhoo, since Malavon likes to waste his time dimension dooring around trying to cloud kill all his slaves and hoping you follow him into the five Umber hulks or whatever in each room, I found his "stupidity" was his down fall. So clear out the place before fighting him. And use lots of +4 weapons!

I simply used a hold spell on him and then moved the tanks in.

Eh, if you were lucky enough to actually get past his Drow magic resistance AND his saving throws to Hold him, well good for you But in general, magic isn't the way to fight him.

It seemed a good idea at the time to hold him, he kept gating all over the place attempting to lure my warriors into his silly little clouds and i got tired of waiting for him to come to me for 2 seconds each visit.

I did a test on this and while he does have some magic resistance its not all that great hold affects him 3 out of 5 times. I think its worth a try

i'm not sure how well this works, but i hear tell of a book; possibly in the severed hand; that tells all about Iron Golems and how to COMMAND them. If you come across such knowledge, it should be no trouble to turn the golems back against Malavon.
