What's the difference between the two of them? I've always wondered it. I go outside, and see black ones, avoid them just to get stung by red ones? It sucks. Are the red ones racist against the black wasps? Is there some sort of wasp conspiracy? Someone please tell me!

No idea man. We only have the generic yellow-n'-black-striped ones here. How big are the black and red ones incidentally? Our wasps tend to be about the same size as the 'average' honey-bee drone, perhaps half a cm longer in the abdomen. I have to say though, I absolutely hate the little buggers. They're always trying to plunder my tasty, sugary food in the summertime. Grrrrr!

Eeehhh, wasps, hate 'em.
I've seen them as big as two inches long. That's a rough estimate as I would be the last person to try and catch one for measurements.
