The U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln was released from duty today, along with another un-named carrier ship and is expected to be back in about a month.
I am guessing that the reason the other ship went un-named is because they had a little tidbit to add to their story about how of all the U.S. ships deployed, the Abraham Lincoln had been out the longest. (and they need to spend more important time speculating about WoMD and the surrender earlier ) It will be great to see some of our troops come home...Godspeed to the rest of them |

IIRC, the USS Abe Lincoln was heading home at some point before the war and got turned around to head back to the Persian Gulf. The Abe Lincoln fully deserves to be the first ship ordered home. And BTW, I'm assuming that this also includes the entire Abe Lincoln battlegroup.

News suggests the Kitty Hawk Carrier Battle Group may be returning within days.
