Did my first ever 25 man raid ever!

Lav, I found in the Netherspite fight that it's better as melee DPS to just disengage when there are AOE effects (eg hotspots, voids in Netherspite fight) that can damage you and are in the way of you being able to DPS. Obviously the healers are focusing on the tanks and not on melee DPS - so when Nightbane spawns those hotspots and they are in the way (and there's no way to get to melee range for me), it's better just to move away and wait for them to finish right? Obviously once you die you're doing zero DPS so better not to die. I'm used to dying and rezzing because in PvP there's no penalty for dying - I need to change my mentality for raids.

What you say is right, dying is bad and = 0 DPS.

But good healers should still keep you up. Especially if there is a Shaman there, stay near the tank for chain heal :p

But if there is no way around it, just back off :p

Fight at his big leg, not at his front leg.

When nightbane spawn the hotspot, clos through it and move to the other side (through his middle body) to continue dps him.

When nightbane fly away, use your range to continue attack him.

Do not use blade flurry when nightbane spawn those skeletons. You are gonna be mobbed and be killed. Let the mages/warlock stupidly aoe them.

A rogue can easily top dps on this one if you can continue dpsing him nonstop.

I think nightbane qualify as it instead of him no?

YAY WE DOWNED MAG!!!

I ended up with a clicking duty because one of our clickers died and geez it was easy, I don't know how anyone could fcuk it up. You click when he starts casting, then you DPS for about 30secs, then you click again, rinse and repeat. At least our healers managed to keep the tank alive. Got my T4 chest too yay!!

Now just keep raiding, you'll notice your gear is getting slowly better and better, make sure for raids your PvE spec, and just keep going DPS will increase, and everything will become easier

Yeah we pug mag regularly, although its been a long time since my main was there.

My warrior and my shaman regularly take part in pugs of Maggy and Gruul, and its usually all good.

YAY downed Nightbane so we have now fully cleared Kara! I think we can start farming Nether and Nightbane now. Kak, how do I get higher than 202 hit with T4 stuff?

Yeah, what makes it sweet is that I outdamage the T6 Fury warrior who demanded that us rogues (me or another rogue) be subbed with a feral druid so that his awesome dps will be even more awesome.
