Ok the best I coul do to prove what I say is looking in MS Encarta online, the infomation is a little outdated though but I quote
"In 1996 Germany had an estimated population of 82,081,365. The mean population density was about 230 people per sq km (596 per sq mi). Population densities in the former East Germany are generally lower than in western Germany. The nation is highly urbanized, with approximately 87 per cent of the people living in urban areas." That was in 1996, I find it hard to belive myself that the population would of grow to 89 million in 5 years so I guess we are both wrong ...no matter.
