Spoiler ahead: If you haven't met the Ice Salamanders in Dorn's Deep and don't want to be spoiled, please don't proceed.

Has anyone figured out if it is possible to unfreeze the aquarium? Can the machinery behind the door be fixed?

I've tried to find a way, as well, but I don't think you are meant to. After all, who would look after the critters once they thawed out? If they were alive again, that is. More likely to just.. er.. rot.

I agree with everyone else. I haven't seen anything about it in any other forums and I've looked for a way myself. I just don't think it would be logical out in the middle of nowhere.

Now that you all explain, you're right. It doesn't make sense to get it working again, especially with no one there to maintain the museum. I just thought it would be cool if you could get it working. Oh well.

The only way I could figure to check would be to use the alt key or enable the cheat keys and use ctrl-4 to see if there are any activatable, hidden contraptions that were as yet undiscovered.

Never found any way to do it, myself! Doubt you can. As F says, might not be pretty! LOL

Did that. Walked the whole place through holding down the Alt key and found nothing special.

Too bad, it would have been cool to fight off an undead land-borne whale.

Think of all the nasty Biological goo in those vats. The stink would rival even the miles of feed lots in Texas! Just think what a good necromancer could do with that goo...It could be Goo-some indeed.
Sorry just had too...
