I'm kind of confused as to what's going on now. Why are we exchanging Isokla for Tod? I understand the idea of keeping people honest, but what are we supposed to be honestly doing? Taking Jason to get hanged, or is there something I missed?

For your benefit, here is a summary of current character goals.
Nivram: Wants to get the booze Isokla: Wants some one on one time with the guys Telryn: Wants to strangle the bandits without dying Jason: Wants to prove his worth by avoiding confrontation Ydalon: Wants to avoid confrontation too Old man: Wants to complain about rheumy bones and how a barrel of booze cost only half a copper back in his days. Half a copper! Bandits: Want to drink, fight and lead merry lives The suggested exchange was to take place because the bandits want to be sure that Jason is indeed being dragged before the Lords of Vision by the concerned and loyal inhabitants of Talryr. As for what you are honestly supposed to be doing, I imagine the old man's list of priorities is as follows: 1) Survive this encounter 2) Safely arrive in Veridan 3) Do stuff there Though it is honestly supposed to be 1) Pledge eternal servitude to Ydalon 2) There is no 2. 3) There is no 3 either, but you can insert "don't do anything stupid" here if you wish. |
