a redesign of the page, and a step away from frames. i am officially moving away from 640x480 graphics, instead focusing on graphics for 1024x768. check out 5 new small pics, 5 new backgrounds and 16 new walls.

Spot on Manikus,
Thy wallsets have landed. I've been eargerly anticipating the arrival of some 1024 wallsets to cross check the perspectives with my sets. The ones that come with the install were far to blocky to get a good match, but my walls will now be compatible with yours. I couldn't quite get the perspectives accurate before. M. |

glad you like 'em.
some day i'm going to get around to writing a photoshop action to make the walls...but now i do it all with a layered file in paint shop pro. i've found that the only really tricky part is the close perspective walls- the two big ones. the trick, which ziroc doesn't do, so maybe it's just preference and not a trick, is that they are just half of the wall. i.e. you would just see half of the door on either side of you, not the whole door; that you would see when you turned to face it. -manikus |

Great stuff as always Manikus! Looks like DC just keeps getting more and more professional quality art. This is a good thing.
On a side note for anyone who cares, even the wonderful 1024x768 artwork converts real well to 640x480 (for those of us who still work in that resolution, aka me). The help text has a great section on converting artwork to DC, and it works really well with the 'resample' option I use in Paint Shop Pro. Again, nice stuff Manikus. Keep up the good work!

tarlanon- glad you can still use the bigger art that was one of my reasons for changing to the higher resolution- you can reduce the size and still keep a pretty good picture, but it doesn't always work so well going the other way.
jaradu- that's my plan, to release them on the projects site as soon as they're done. i haven't updated the progress in a while, but i have been working on them. i'm pretty close to wrapping up dungeoneer, and have quite a bit more art for the transformers... -manikus |
