Hi folks,

Wonder if anyone can help me with a slow running problem.

The game has run fine up to Level 1 of the Goblin Warrens in Chapter 1, but as soon as I step through the door to the second level the game runs jerky - it stops for about a quarter of a second every second or so, in a regular pattern. Dashed annoying. As soon as I go back to level 1, it's fine again.

I've tried clearing the cache, mucking around with the cache size, loads of game and video settings in configure (including full or part screen), different frame rates, all to no avail. I ran Icewind Dale 1, and both expansions for it, without any problems. I have a 1.7Ghz P4, 512Mb ram, GEForce 3, running XP. Recently refragged the hard disk, lots of space on it.

Anyone have any advice?

Goblin warrens will cause hicc-ups, slow perfornamce and jerkyness on any machine. Just go beat that level and all should be fine.

Also, if you are playing off line and still have virus scanning activated, disabling that may help a bit...
However, the goblin warrens are always a little jerky, particularly if you have loadsa goblins on one screen and cast a spell...
