~ Coming to a halt, Mistral hits on another idea. She closes her eyes and her lips tense. ~ Come to me, Isabeau, my darling! ~

~ Isabeau begins flapping her wings in the kitchen, ready to hunt for her mistress... ~

OOC...Maybe with our help, the puny posters can become better. We will just have to show them the ropes, and train them to think. If they deliberately waste time on our story...well..maybe that bird we just acquired would enjoy a bit of sport...and I could always use a new sparring dummy

At length, Larry decides he is in need of the feel of danger. He pretends to stalk the halls, looking for somebody to pounce at. He hoped he did not find Kaz, because she would die of a heart-attack...or Spree because she would probably like an excuse to kill him. So, stealthily...he wanders the halls, darting in and out of shadows and secret hiding places...waiting to pounce on his prey...

OOC...I just utilized a cool feature that I never used before here on IW...after I typed up all my stuff in my last post, I chose the option at the bottom that says review this topic, or something...It opened another window so that I could see if anybody had posted before I hit the submit button...
Therefore, if I had posted something that was contradictory to what somebody else just placed up there before me, I could easily edit before submitting the first time. It will save me a lot of headache in the weeks to come.

~ Isabeau, ever ready to take up any challenge, refuses to follow the route that her mistress had taken. Instead, she flies off in a totally opposite direction...~

~Where on earth is that hawk... I would have thought she'd be here by now...~ Mistral turns her body a full round. With still no sign of Isabeau in sight, she continues walking distractedly down the corridor... ~

Larry hears something up ahead, and peers out from his hiding...it is the hawk...surely she will see him, and sound the alarm...yet she did not. She gazed at him while hovering for just a moment, then continued on her unknown path.
Larry quickly streaked up to his next advantage point, hoping to take a maid or guard by surpise, thus proving his stealth skills. He needed to know where his limits were.

Larry peeps out of his shadow long enough to hear foot-steps down the corridor. This was his chance to strike! Hopefully, he would not scare the poor unfortunate soul to death...

He unsheathes Nightblade with perfect silence, and waits for the attack.

Larry, seeing that his victim was upon him, leaps from his hiding place, blade flashing, and screams...
"Now I have you"!
...at which point he realizes that his game may have costed him his life...
Quickly, he parries the swords of a double wielding expert, yet it is hard for him to make out in the dark who his attacker is...
He cannot speak, because this person is hammering on him too hard for him to even think! He hopes that he can see the person's face before he dies, to know who bested him...

She now realises that this unseen attacker must have been waiting to pounce on her and her eyes flash in the darkness ~ "Are you tired of living, fool?!" ~ she demands, lashing out with her might ~

~ "Isabeau! If you don't come here right this minute, I'll... I'll disown you!" ~ Finally hearing the flappings of her hawk's wings, she heaves a sigh of relief ~ "Attack!" ~
