Does anyone remember Sir-Mix-A-Lot's song "Swass"?
It went ..."Don't you wish your boyfriend was swass like me..."Swass!"

What the hell did that mean!
I am glad it never caught on.

I am also glad that "the bomb" was short-lived.

Ah.. I remember that. The bomb still lives in some places. But no it's been downgraded to Da bomb! What about some of the earlier sayings. Groovy, Foxiest? No one says those anymore either!

What about "fly"? Like "He's totally fly?" That seemed to be in vogue some 10-12 years ago, died out, and then seemed to have a minor resurgence a couple of years ago as well.

Or "def". That seems to have fortunately died the miserable death it deserved.

Fly LMFAO I had forgotten that one!
Yeah the only thing keeping "def" alive is the band, Def Leppard.
Then there's "boss" and "phat" and "trick"
Hey, I still use "trick" LOL

well i must say that, sadly, in my little backwatwer crater of a town, most of those slang words and phrases live on. i do not actively practice any of them, however there are others that do. i can imagine that this is my version of Hell...
