Ooooh, can we instead poke an arrow in his eye? That's my favorite kill in the LOTR movies so far.

He can sue for damages -- IF, and only IF, he can show the statement was made with malice and that he suffered real damages due to it being made. So, not likely.

Man, I got a shock too. Orlando Bloom is one of my favourite actors. LoTR and Pirates Of The Carribean are both (well, all three) excellent movies. Phew, the coldness is still faintly there...

Never believe news lihe that on Neopets. Especially not on their chat boards. There are a lot of minors starved for attention in there...

Willow took the words right out of my mouth. It is advisable not to put to much belief in "news" you hear on *snicker* Neopets...
I doubt a bunch of kids would know about such events before CNN/BBC/fill-in-any-major-news-site do, so when in doubt check there first.
I wouldn't be suprised to find rumours about dead stars on Neopets about once every half hour... like Willow said, keywords are attention-starved, teenagers and gullible (OK I added that last one myself ).

Oh this reminds me of before I joined IW I was on a Star Wars board called Theforce.net. someone posted a "rumour" that the guy who plays the Emperor and Darth Sidious/Palpatine (yes they are the same... sorry to spoil it for ya... ) and people went nuts... until someone actually bothered to check with the newssites... it was so funny to see peoples reactions... most were so afraid that the Prequels would be cancelled... geeks...

Also, you'd be well adviced to ignore MSN news-messages just the same... According to MSN, Eminem and Ja Rule both have been killed over 17 times or so in the last year.
