Good morning, all. A beautiful - though busy - weekend. No, Gok, it is not a holiday, here. Most definitely. Cloudy, sorry about your allergies.

Hey All!
Sinus infections suck! Playing hookey from work and can't even enjoy it. At least the fever is down. TL I think I need to borrow your Feet-On-Desk charge code ..... That is, when I'm not charging Head-On-Pillow and Toss-Kleenex-In-Basket [ 04-21-2003, 12:11 PM: Message edited by: Night Stalker ]

Beautiful clear day, here, Timber. Blue skies, temperature about 72 degrees. We are finally getting back to normal, which is good.

Good to hear it, Attalus.
Once you get your CD-ROM fixed, you'll be able to re-immerse yourself in a bit of good old fashioned escapism. BTW, my lack of a computer (mine is currently visiting Uncle Sony in San Bernandino) has forced me to install original BG on my wife's machine and re-play it. A VeryGoodThing(tm) as it turns out, as I'm having a blast. My wife gets angry when she wants to surf, of course. |

Yeah, BG was my favorite game until BGII came along. Very non-linear, accurately reproduced the feeling of wandering aimlessly, trying to figure out what the heck was going on. I replayed it about 6 months ago and was amazed at how hard it is. Characters and NPC's getting killed all the time, and no resurrection spell! Lots of reloads. I imported Galadria's mage (9th level) into the party, and that really helped. LOL, she and Imoen took care of Daevorn with Magic Missle before my Paladin could get a chop in.

BG1 will always be my favorite! I played that game for a year and a half straight, replaying and replaying. Was the best thing I had ever seen in a game. Everything I love in a game was in it. You know how games have some aspects you like, and another has different ones and you wish you could combine them? Well, I never had that thought with BG1.

While we're at the subject, will SoA run on Win XP ? If not, is there any way to solve this without me having to install another version of windows just for that game ?

Yesterday was scary (seriously). It had great weather for the most of the day, but then I was looking through the IW forums, and around night time a big clap of thunder hit a transformer connected to my apartment complex and all the power was knocked out. Heavy winds, lightning non-stop, I didn't dare bring my crutches outside so I could go to my grandparents, I just hopped to the truck But after about 3-4 hours, everything calmed down, and PSI actually got the power back on in two hours instead of eight
I don't know if it will or not johnny, never bothered trying it, but if it doesn't, try to go to an XP site that lets you download a game patch. After that, it should be smooth sailing from there. [ 04-21-2003, 04:25 PM: Message edited by: Gangrell ] |
