Have you played it? I have and it is one hell of a game. You must use a lot of brain and tactics/strategies.
But sometimes missions are sooo hard it becomes frustrating... Opinions? |

I think i finished that game a dozen times by now, and it still doesn't bore me. there are just so many ways to complete the missions. You can go in blazing, throwing handgranates or molotov coctails, or go in stealth all the way. I just like to stir things up and make a lot of noise, especially in the Japanese missions. The spy is my favourite character. Dressed up as a german officer, walking around, injecting unsuspicious guards with a lethal poison.
I've played all the Commando games so far, the first + the add on, the second, and now they announced Commando's 3. I can hardly wait. btw, if you like these type of games, you should also try Desperado's and Robin Hood. Same type of gameplay, except in earlier timestages. Great games.

Okay, check out this site. It appears they even have a downloadable demo, so you could at least play one level to get the hang of it. Trust me, if you enjoyed Commando's, you're gonna love this one.
There are some screenshots as well. Enjoy.

I got C1, C2, and Desperados.
Is Robin Hood any good? Might start Commandos 2 again. Good game.

I liked Commandos 2 and Desparados -- each for about a minute. I don't like the RT aspect. What these games need is a good spacebar pause button coupled with the ability to issue orders while paused. Otherwise, managing so many guys at once becomes unmanageable. More frustration than its worth.
Great graphics, great concepts, just needs a good kick in the pants from the "playability" department. |

I got Commando 1 and 2 but I only manage to beat the game (plus bonus/hidden missions) in Commando 2 without using the cheat mode. IMO, Commando 2 is quite challenging but not too frustrating as Commando 1 because each Commando have good assortment of new abilities which eliminates the need to co-ordinate 2-3 commandos just to take out one setry guard.
