What does % toughness and regenerate do? Too many terms that aren't explained.

In weapons and armor toughness pertains to the breakability of it. Regenerate means if you wear it you regenerate hitpoints, (I think.)

Regenerate is very useful if you want to equip cursed items (like most of the staves in the game). Other than that, skip it and put your blessings on Hit (Artifact of Spirit), Damage (Artifact of Fiends), and Armor (Artifact of Stone).
