Is the board falling apart??

3 big crashes, sometimes responses from various individuals dont show up, threads dont show up, pics come and go, and this happens in various computers which I have used to visit this MSGboard!!
Is this board headed for destruction?

well, yes the board is headed for destruction (well, sort of anyway) and there's a new board currently being made (I think)

Everyone seems to have gifs and large pics these days - some posts take ages to load.
If there are more problems lately, that could be a contributory factor?

Good point! I guess I'm one of the guilty ones! But if this system cant handle it, we should move onto something that can.

Yes I think maybe the pics may contribute to the problem. I have a very fast internet connection, but when I load a thread that has many pics throughout it takes almost a full minute to load! I've heard the new board will be much better, so at least we have something to look forward to!

I think Ziroc's on holidays. It's not so much the pics, though they do contribute to the lag in loading up pages. It's the number of hits we're getting per day.

Is anyone else using geocities having problems with their gifs showing sometimes?

Hmmmm. Never really had a problem with loading up the web pages with the sigs. It usually loads up the text first and then fills in the sigs afterwards. Anyone have a clue when the new board will be up. Seems like a couple of weeks ago Ziroc was mentioning it was about ready?
