What do I do

Having played through to the final battle in IWD I arrived with only 4 of my 6 characters I do not have the fire power to win the last battle I have tried and tried.I have now loaded my last saved game where I have six characters,I have also loaded HOW what will the game let me do.
1)enter HOW yes already tried that.
2) Can I complete HOW then return all powerful and complete IWD.
3) Part complete HOW return complete IWD then return again to HOW.
I do not want to lose the final battle in IWD seeing that I got there and lost.

And, the right answer is.... 2! Take off for HoW just before meeting RBP. (hopefully you have a save from about then.)

You can return early from HoW; but I don't think you can go back to HoW a second time. (I don't know about returning to HoW, since I've never tried it, nor heard of anyone who did.)

Yes, that last battle is tough; but HoW will definitely toughen you up for it. Presuming you have a balanced party with a few Fighters, at least one Cleric, and perhaps a Paladin, you should do O.K. in HoW and in the last IWD battle.
