Sorry. I don't know what a "FMV" is. If you are referring to video sequences...there are several good ones. Maybe 6 or so... ------------------ Now where did I leave that doughnut?! [This message has been edited by Throntar (edited 05-01-2001).] |

I also am on a celeron 667 128 megs of ram 12 mg Voodoo card, 72 X kenwood cd rom drive, heaven forbid i have dx8, (that thing prohibits playing of mechcommander online.)
it runs smooth on that and load speeds are tolerable. My other comp, 350 AMDK6 128 megs of ram, took me hella long to do a full install, but it runs fairly well all things considered. Hope that helped =) |

Welcome to the board. It will probably run ok. If anything I would suggest a small investment in a 3d video card and some more memory. Memory is dirt cheap now. 64 megs isn't much to begin with, and if it is shared with the video card, that leaves you with very little in win98.
As for myself, I have a PIII 1ghz, 512mb ram, 80gb ultra ata 100 hd, and a geforce2 ultra vid card. I am running win98 and bg2 works great. ------------------ "The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his." -General George Patton (1885-1945) |

P3 800, Asus P3-FB, 256MB, Voodoo 5, SB Live X-Gamer, 40x CD, 12x SCSI CDR, 30GB Wester Digital. Runs pretty smooth, but I wish I would have bought a GeForce card instead of the Voodoo 5. I think a day or two after I bought the card 3DFX went out of business...go figure...
BG2 runs much better than it did with my P2 450. With the 450 it would run fine until alot of magic (Or one of the dragons...) was on screen. Then it would pretty much slow down to 5-10 FPS. With this 800 it runs pretty smooth all the time. Glycerine |

Don't fret to much about the voodoo5. It is an amazing card. I just saw on Buy.com that the geforce2 ultra is down to 275.00 now. I payed almost 500.00 for it a few months ago. ------------------ "The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his." -General George Patton (1885-1945) |

Yes yes all your super computers run baldurs gate 2 just fine but what about the little guy? I have 433 mhz 64mb SDram 4 gig harddrive and a obsolete ATI video card and bg2 can run like molasses sometimes.
