Thanks to A Thousand Young, for this one:

...the Invisible Invulnerable Tank Trick (IITT)...Halflings find a powerful melee enemy or enemies without him/them seeing the scouting pair. The party positions itself so there's a narrow choke point that the enemy will have to cross to get to them. The female bow pulls the enemies and the pair run back to the party. The still stealthed male Halfling stands in the choke point as an obstacle. Since the enemies can't see him, they can't attack him, and since he's there, they can't advance past him, so he's just an invisible wall that I can then fire arrows and spells past. It's really cheap but it works. All you need is an invisible character(s), opponents who only melee, a choke point and the ability to do ranged damage.

Wooot!! REALLY cheap! I don't think I have ever heard of this before.

So unfair tricks you want to know, heh? Mmmm, so listen now. All your stratagies are fine, but here's the most brutal devastating trick I was ever been able to discover.

You need: THIEF/MAGE able to cast 7th level spell specialized 2* in large swords. Set backstab in config instead sneak attack. And you need nothing more, nothing less.

If you are alone, first summon some creatures. If you are not, just use your tank in your party.

Then...
Cast spells in this order: POWERINVISIBILITY (i think it is called IMPROVED INVISIBLITY), HASTE, MODENKAINEN'S SWORD and TENSOR'S TRANSFORMATION.

Then with your tank (or summoned creature) pass behind your enemies, so they turn back to your boosted mage and watch, what is real power of destruction. Even the strongest opponents like golems and giants falls after 2-3 hits in this killing frenzy. You can even drink potion of STR 20 or so before and look, as blows with damage 100 and more falls one after one in tremendous quickness, and how your opponents falls one after one. Thus, in one round can mage/thief deal MORE THAN 400 DAMAGE!

So and then speak about the best damager ever )

Tip 1: If you have another mage, you can cast improved invisibility at the end at your boosted thief/mage, and so place him to optimal position in battlefield, without any enemy notice.

Tip 2: You can still cast several more spells or potions to boost your thief/mage even more. (THAC0, AC, PROTECTION...)

Important note: You must attack your enemies from the behind all the way, or no backstab damage will occur.

ENJOY.

Cleric/Ranger - Cast sanctuary and then static charge. Go among enemies, and wait, as the enemies feels, what power electricity have.

Go in Vale of Shadow. Talk to that undead priest in main dungeon 1 level (I cannot remember his name... I think Mythos is his name) and ask, Who are you, then What is Bone Dancer, then you chat about the art of necromancy, and at the end say, you've been just saying your opinion... you'll get about 3000 XP for that. A good think is, you can ask this again and again and all times obtain 3000 XP.

Thus, even in Vale of Shadows you can have maximum level.

Charm the sea-elf at the begining, before the dialogue after which she disapears, and you can get infinite exp and moon pearls out of her. (at least until the charm wears off).

Ranger or Thief soloist (single or multi-class) or anyone with invisibility: stealth your way to the end-level dialogue and/or end-level boss/battle(s). You get most of the best treasure, and can skip a lot of mosters that are just there to wear you down. Works well in most areas and shaves off hours of unessential game-play.
