Magik, I think you did the exact right thing - honesty and straight-talking aside, what you did showed great respect for the girl in question.

IMO I would rather meet up with someone I was due to meet and just have a lunch as friends once the situation had been explained, than to have it cancelled at the last minute after I'd been looking forward to it.

Good luck with Colleen, it sounds wonderful. Such a lovely name too.

Thanks Epona, and aye, she is a bonnie lass [img]smile.gif[/img] , altho, I think I have forgotten what sleep is...ahh well I'll give up sleep for this any day
