May contain spoiler! Don't read if you haven't done the asylum yet.
OK. I have finished the asylum (and the Sahuagin city) and am about to go to the underdark. I now have the ability to change into the slayer at will. Quesions: Can I change back at will? Is it a bad thing (I am good aligned) to turn into the slayer since that is my "dark side" if you know what I mean? ------------------ Reeka--The Hand of Death |

Hi Reeka,
Yes you can turn back at will. However, I have noticed mention of a bug in the game that sometimes when you turn into Slayer you die instantly. You may just want to save a game and try it and see if this bug is in your game, it wasn't in mine?!?! Also, you lose 2 reputation points everytime you turn into slayer, so it should only be used as a last-ditch effort. Hope this helps. (no i'm not back, just answering a few game questions when I can ) ------------------ It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear ignorant, than open it and remove all doubt! |

Hey Reeka! Nice to see you! How's my classical music companion doing?
Well, you rightly guessed that the game considers the slayer change a bad thing: you'll lose two reputation points each time you use it. You can change back whenever you want but while in the Slayer form you will suffer some hit point loss. I suggest that you only use it when times are desperate. I won't spoil you about the underdark, as you haven't gone there yet, but there is one instance in the Underdark where using the Slayer form can be useful - although there is a second option. You'll find out when you get there. ------------------ Melusine, Archbabe of the OHF and the LH Your voice is ambrosia |

Potential SPOILER:
> > > > > > Honestly, in my many hours of game play, I NEVER changed into slayer except for the dream sequence..... This is one innate ability you can do without except if you want to manage your reputation.....then again, you can always kill nobles for that. ------------------ Long live H22A1!!!!! |

Don't forget that as a slayer you are continuously losing HPs and will eventually die if you remain in slayer form for too long.

I agree that you shouldn't need the Slayer form. I found no use for it myself. Didn't someone mention in another post that you die if you turn Slayer 3 times?
