Downloaded the patch, but I'm a little baffled: I put it in its own folder, but its marked as a 'shortcut' and nothing happens when I click it.
I've patched other games, but usually got some kind of dialog box as to how to proceed. Should I have let it download directly into Morrowind itself? Sorry to be such a dweeb... really don't understand anything about computers... Oru |

Not sure if i'm explaining this the right way, but it's an exe.file, and you have to overwrite the original file, with the new one. Use your explorer to do this. Am i making sense ?

So, what I'd do is re-download it, and when explorer asks if it should replace the exe in morrowind, I just say 'yes'?
Had that option, but it kinda scared me... Oru |

do you have winzip or winrar? first download it into my document ( for example ). then use winzip to unzip it to morrowind folder.

Yeah, I assumed it would need to be unzipped, but I didn't get the usual dialog box for that...
Now I don't know where the darn thing went: I created a folder to send it into, but the only thing in there is a shortcut that doesn't seem to work. I'm very new to windows XP, and I can see some definite improvments of the 98 OSes, but I haven't learned squat about how it does things yet... Thanks gang: all suggestions welcome... Oru |

Here's the link for the patch:
Official 1.2.0722 patch It is an installer, just download and execute it. Beware:if you have installed Tribunal or Bloodmoon, don't use this patch, as those expansions patch the game to the latest version automatically, and applying another patch will result in losing the bloodmoon / tribunal installation. (different launcher, different other things)
