Stupid No-Text Bugs.....

Okay, I just finished SoA and I had ToB installed. I got my Bhaal's Tears and beat the cr*p out of Irenicus. I saw the elves cheering me and that movie about the Five. When I finally could do something, I was in a circle of a bunch of stone heads. I clikced on it and about five people come and attack me after some ruins come up. I kill them, but I notice there is no TEXT! They have no names and when I get to Sarevok and the Solar, the text box comes up, but no actual words appear. When I click on the text box, all that happens is this: (btw, my character name is Ithtor)

Ithtor-

Everything after that is blank. Every time I click on the text box, it just says the same thing and I click the 'continue' and 'end dialogue.' Anyone know what is wrong and how to fix?

I have the Flirt mod installed and the UScript on the Sorcerer's Place 1st Subsection page. I installed those before ToB, but then I deleted all the files I could see in the Script folder that were UScript.

Did you back up your dialogue.tlk file? If you did, then copy the old 1 over and then reinstall the mods, cuz your problem is that the mods caused the dialogue to 'move' or something incorrectly, so it's messed up.

It was fine all the way in SoA though....but okay.

ok, read through this whole post before you do anything.

Back up these files:

Saved Games
Characters
baldur.ini
chittin
if you've created any items/spells, then go into your override folder, find them, and back them up.

Then uininstall all of your mods.
Then uninstall SoA and ToB.
Then reinstall SoA, then reinstall ToB.
Copy over the files that you backed up, and if you backed up anything from your override folder, put those back in the override folder. That includes an XP cap remover (cuz some go in there)

Then back up your dialogue.txt file. Then install the mods you want (make sure you do them in the correct order. The order can be found in a sticky in the SoA forum about all the mods for BG2).

You should be fine now.
