I cannot seem to advance in the Thieves Guild. I need help to advance and to receive more quests.

I am ranked Bandit. My agility is 87 and my personality is 64.
Marksman - 35 Short Blade - 55 Light Armor - 40
Acrobatics - 36 Sneak - 57 Security - 70

I think I've done two quests for Sugar Lips - the diamonds and Nerano manor key. I know I did the diamonds, don't remember the Nerano key. I know I had it in my inventory at one point. She will not give me any more quests nor advance me.

Aengoth (Ald'ruhn) - Did: Loot Mages Guild, Master Helm, Bad Gandosa, Withershins, Scrap Metal and Darts of Judgment. He doesn't have any more quests for me.

Big Helende (Sadrith Mora) - Cookbook, Retort, Redoran Cookbook, Ebony Staff. No more quests from her either.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

you need to do sugar lips. you need to get that key. go back to the courner club and see if there is anybody left alive. if there is kill them all and look for the key.

Advancement in guilds is based on your stats and not quests completed.

Okay first of all the favoured skills in the Theives guild are: Marksman, Short Blade, Light Armour, Acrobatics, Sneak, Security.

The ranks within the guild are as follows:

I found the Nerano key and gave it to Sugar Lips, but she still doesn't have any more quests for me and won't advance me, even though I have the required skills and attributes.

Where is Jim Stacy in Vivec?

Ask the guild leaders about Gentleman Jim or just nose around the Foreign Quarter asking everyone you meet.

I am not sure why you are having problems with Sugar Lips. I did all of her quests first before going to the other guild masters. Maybe it has something to do with other quests you have done for the other factions. I have pretty much exclusively done the Thieves Guild Quests and House Hlau (no idea how to spell it) with the excpetion of the main quest and there first few Mages Guild quests that do not involve the Thieves Guild.

Thanks, I found Gentleman Jim. However, I still can't advance and I'm wondering if it has to do with some other quests that I've done. Something about questions about my loyalty. Just can't figure out what I could have done and how to make it right now.

I have read that if you join the fighters guild and get the code book from the woman in the South wall corner club (her name escapes me at the moment) then that can interfere with the thieves guild missions.

I believe that was the problem, the code book. However, I have done some quests for Gentleman Jim Stacy and was finally able to advance.
