A man went to the Los Angeles Unemployment Office. On his way in, he spotted a notice on the bulletin board that read, "Single man needed, willing to travel, $500/day, company car, all expenses paid, must have own scissors." He quickly headed for the counter. "I want to apply for job #E784-46." "Oh, I know that one," said the clerk. "That's for a local modeling agency that needs a pubic hair snipper." Noticing the applicant's puzzled expression, he explained further. "You see, before women can go on the catwalk in today's skimpy underwear and bathing suits, they would report to you. You'd have to clip any exposed hair. It pays pretty well, but there are some drawbacks." Unable to believe his ears, the man grinned and asked, "What could possibly be a drawback on a job like that?" She continued, "Well, it involves a great deal of travel, usually to warm beaches, but also to Paris, London, places like that. And you'd have to get used to expense account living in first-class hotels." "I could learn," he said. "I'm ready to apply." The social worker shrugged and said, "Okay. Here's your application form and a bus ticket to Fresno." "Fresno?" he repeats. "Why would I want to go to Fresno?" "Because, right now, that's where the end of the line forms!"

More like 300 miles... Fresno is far closer to San Francisco.
