My dad was at the game today, and no doubt he'll be in a bad mood for the rest of the nite when he returns...

But the hammers aren't that bad...they are just having problems....how can you be THAT bad with Di Canio (one of my all-time fave's?), also, Sinclair and Hutchinson make them a quality midfield, with the next england wonderkid Joe Cole. Also, Kanoute in attack is decent.

I don't know about that...I saw their game against Aston Villa earlier this week and it was a bit of a comedy of errors. Defoe looks very promising, though.

An off game doesn't make them a BAD side, just this season their defense has been very poor!!

I forgot Defoe, he's England's Under 21 *, but he's not really impressed me that much! We shall see!

Sir Alex's acquisition of Veron was a huge mistake. Why strengthen a midfield that doesn't need strengthening, and spend 28m pounds to do so? Veron's an awesome player, but getting him forced Man U to totally change their formation and nobody has been able to adjust to that. Also, getting rid of Stam and replacing him with Blanc (whose glory years are behind him) was a poor move also. The money would have been better spent on them strengthening their back four, perhaps with a quality defender from Italy's Serie A.

I agree on most points, Veron is one of the best midfielders in the world, but Utd's didnt need changing at all!!

But Staam?? He must have had his reasons ( stam getting caught fro drugs 3months later???)

Stam moved to Lazio, and 3months later was suspended for 6months due to enhancers use.

Maybe fergie found out, and got rid.

If u look at it that way, its a great sale!!!

Veron is 26/28 ish....in his prime

Blanc is 35/36 - still great, just too slow!
