The Weekend Update segment.

Jane Curtin gives her point of view on a story in the news, and as the start of his rebuttal to her points, Dan Aykroyd(Weekend Update Station Manager) says, "Jane, you ignorant slut."

Here's one of the Weekend Updates. It's not the original, but it does include a variation, in which she's expecting the remark.

You can actually hear it here. It's near the bottom of the list, and there are a couple of other SNL classics like the "Church Lady".

The "Jane, you..." business was from the original (70s) Weekend Update, Chevy Chase to Jane Curtin.

I think both Aykroid and Chase gave Jane that line at various times.

Oh, Nano.. [img]graemlins/dontknowaboutyou.gif[/img] I think, my friend, you are just to young to appreciate Chevy. That roast was a bomb if you ask me. They should have roasted him unstead of the other roasters. If you get a chance, rent the "Best of SNL, with Chevy Chase" video. He is a classic SNL comedian. Not to mention Vaction.
He has faded out in his career, but as someone said in that roast, he has stuck by his comedy style, instead of selling out for the money. I personaly think he is great. Have you seen Caddy Shack?
