Am I wasting my time?

I am about done with chapter 5, and am wondering if the game is going to crash at any time. I dont have the patch installed is why I ask. Am I safe, or should I just start over with the patch.

Why would the game crash after chapter 5?

You should install the patch as there would be some game stopping bugs in later chapters.

You should be able to install the patch and continue with your saved game.

Game crash means the game hangs, turn all black or crash back to windows.

Game stopping bugs means some element in the game happens accidentally and it prevent you from continuing your game. for example you need to talk to an npc but the npc never there for you to talk to.

Not the same I say..
