go to the coople coronet site and at the north there is a house where you will find the one that caused troubles to jaheira. get prepared for battle before you enter the house. as soon as you win the battle (you will get a hair lock [not usable in the future]) you have to go to the tavern and rest until jaheiras cource is removed. spells will not effect on jaheiras curse.

Go to the Government District and into the Council of Six Building, and ask to the guy standing close to the entrance (the guy that also sells licenses which allow to cast magic) about the mages who helped Baron Ployer in his plot. He will dismiss your question, but upon leaving the building, one of the mages in question will be waiting outside the building right next to the door. Just ask him about the Ployer thing, and if you take the right dialogue options, you could not only let them choose to abandon Ployer's cause, but also turn them towards him. For a price, of course, but it's fun to do at least once.
So when you go to the derelict house Arquest described, Ployer will be in for a nasty surprise...
