Prices have really rocketed here. Our house was underpriced when we bought it (new) and has more than doubled in the four years i've been here.

Ouch, Melcheor, I knew you folks paid more for gasoline but that's more than twice what we were paying at the highest a few weeks ago.

Engineering can cover a lot of territory...maybe you could look into levees...I think we're in need of specialists in that area! Seriously, though, that's a pretty good field for finding work these days! Good luck on picking a specialization when you get that far!

I missed school today too Sir G. I was fine, but when your parents say "Do you want to stay off?" you don't say "No, I'll go today".

I've found out I'm going to the opticians Saturday and I'm not allowed contact lenses. If they think I'm going to wear the glasses without being forced they have another thing coming. And I'm gonna buy the most expensive glasses I can find. Damn parents, I ask one simple thing and they say no!

I'm sure they do this to annoy me. Everything I ask, no matter how simple it is, the answer is no.

"Can i go to the toilet, mum?"

Get rimless glasses. They're really expensive and the lenses are too (for when they have to be replaced).

C'mon they let you off school. I always got the attendance records because of my parents. Still, I usually managed to infect a lot of people in the process. Thats always fairly gratifying.

Yeah, I don't ask if I can go to the toilet, I mean like "Can I go play football at 5:30? I'll make my own way there, I'll get my own tea, etc. etc."

Answer: "No."

*sigh*

You'll get your own back by making them pay rather large university or college fees

But my parent's have caught on to that already, I practically have to beg. I even had her check my temperature, and I didn't have a fever... in fact it was at 94F... I was cold!

In fact, a week or so ago my mum said "Your not staying off no more if you fake it", and now I've stayed off for two days, one I was ill, the other I just couldn't be bothered

I suppose next year I don't *have* to go to College if I don't want to, but it'll be the one missing the lessons. That'll be fun trying to persuede myself to get up!
