Cos i use elves all the time cept' i never seem to be getting a bonus, is it hidden or something? or is it carryover from pnp that didn't get implemented?

They do. Its not in the character screen I believe, but its one of those invisible bonuses like the bonus you get to hit from being invisible/hiding in shadows.

I believe that it does actually apply to the THAC0, Elves get +1 to hit for longsword and longbow only. No bonus to damage.
