South African is actually rather cute... It sounds like a babytalk-version of Dutch, though yet still understandable for us. Very interesting language.

Well I like Scouse accents - and no I'm not joking! Good mate of mine is a scouser, and I love to hear her talk - she has a really extreme scouse accent and it took a while before I could understand anything she said!

Sigh, Lambrettinita, you've done it -again: what in the Queen's Commonwealth is a "scouse accent"? Which regional English subspecies, social class or lifestyle does it pertain to: working class nymphomaniacs from the Lake Disrict who suffer from a budgie allergy?

Sorry Ramon

A scouser is someone from Liverpool - hence a scouse accent is a Liverpudlian accent. A Geordie is someone from Newcastle, and a Brummie is from Birmingham - just in case I use those terms again!

Thanks, Epona.

Good thing you explained "Geordie" too as I didn't know that, either. I did know "Brummie" though, probably stuck with me because in German "Brummie" is a colloqiual term of endearment for a truck.
